ASO listing checker & metadata comparison

Pick your app to audit its public store listing. Add up to two competitors to compare names, subtitles, descriptions, ratings, screenshots and languages, and to see which words they use that your listing does not.

Search tracked apps

Add one app to run the ASO checks. Add two or three to compare their listings and see which keywords competitors use that your app does not.

How to improve each part of your listing

The checker scores these fields. Use this as a checklist when you prepare your next update.

  • App name

    30 characters

Brand plus the one keyword that best describes your app. The name carries the most ranking weight on both stores.

  • Subtitle / short description

30 on iOS · 80 on Google Play

Add keywords that are not already in the name. On Google Play, lead with the main benefit because it shows above the fold.

  • iOS keyword field

    100 characters, hidden

Comma-separated with no spaces. Skip words already in your name or subtitle; Apple combines them for you.

  • Description

    4,000 characters

iOS: written to convert, not to rank, so the first three lines matter most. Google Play: indexed, so use main keywords naturally 3–5 times.

  • Screenshots

    5 or more

The first two or three show in search results. One benefit per screenshot, with a short, readable caption.

  • Ratings

    4.0+ and growing

Prompt for a rating right after a success moment, reply to reviews, and fix the most common complaint first.

  • Localization

    Your top markets

Translate the name, subtitle and screenshots for your biggest countries. Local listings rank for local searches.

  • Updates

    Every few months

Regular releases with clear notes keep the listing fresh. On iOS, keyword changes only ship with a new version.

What it does not claim

Listings come from the public App Store lookup and Google Play pages at the time you check. The keyword gap only compares words in the listings; it does not know search volume, difficulty or where any app ranks. To draft new copy, use the ASO length checker.
